NASA Astronaut Dan Tani at BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition
NASA astronaut Dan Tani was a guest of IOTI at the 2012 BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. Picture above shows Dan presenting the IOTI Special Award to Maedhbh Tiernan and Hannah Grant from Loreto Secondary School, Navan.
Dan gave a talk to hundreds of visitors about living and working on the International Space Station and presented fascinating photographs and video images of the earth from space. He also took time to meet and chat with students and parents and sent his own message to space from the IOTI stand via a live link up with the Blackrock Castle Observatory.
