“TSSG is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for ICT research and innovation. Minister Sherlock’s Department is in regular contact with the centre, and I was delighted that he was able to make time for a visit to Waterford to discuss ongoing and future projects. There’s amazing and innovative work being carried out at TSSG. They are the leading institute in Europe when it comes to co-ordinating applications and securing funding for their area of research, a fact which has not been lost on Minister Seán Sherlock, who is hugely impressed by all the activity here in Waterford. I know that TSSG and Arclabs have recently opened an office in California – so now the Suir Valley and Silicon Valley are officially connected! The team at TSSG continues to win major contracts and combine academic excellence and innovation to lead industry. We’re very lucky to have such a hub of talent here in Waterford and we look forward to more success stories in future.” said Ciara Conway T.D..
Minister Sherlock was accompanied during his visit by Ciara Conway T.D. and Councillors Jack Walsh and Dee Jacques.
