Blackrock Business Network & The Media Cube, IADT launch a creative competition in association with Dún-Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council
CALLING ALL TALENTED ANIMATORS AND WEB DESIGNERS BLACKROCK NEEDS YOU!
The search is on for talented animators and web designers, following the launch of an innovative competition by 2FM DJ and film critic Dave Fanning. The competition is to create an animation themed website for Blackrock town in County Dublin. The winning entry will receive a year’s office space rental free at the Media Cube in IADT.
The competition is being organised by Blackrock Business Network and the Media Cube, IADT in association with Dún-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
Animators and web-designers are invited to design a new website, to promote the businesses of Blackrock and the upcoming Blackrock Animation Festival.
Speaking at the launch, Rory O’Neill, Chairperson, Blackrock Business Network, commented; “We are delighted to have come together in partnership with The Media Cube and Dún-Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for this initiative. This competition is aimed at animators and web designers. As a business organisation we hope that the winners of this competition will go on to form their own successful business using the prize, which is one year’s free office space in the Media Cube. We are delighted that Dave Fanning, as a Blackrock resident and film critic, could be here today to launch the competition and we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the entrants the very best of luck. Commenting at the launch, Dave Fanning, Broadcaster, said; “Being from Blackrock, I am delighted to be officially launching the Blackrock Animation website competition. The first prize is a great chance for an upcoming aminator or designer to kick-start their career. I would like to wish all the entrants well and look forward to seeing the winning design.”
